Insta360 has released X6 firmware v1.2.36, dated October 10, 2026 in its official download entry. The changelog lists improved system stability and user experience.[1]

The update requires Insta360 app v2.34.5 or later. Check the phone app’s version first, then follow the update prompt after connecting the camera.[1][2]

The official X6 download page provides the firmware and changelog. If the app does not show the update yet, Insta360 says phased distribution or network latency may affect notifications. Reconnect the camera to check again.[2]
