Insta360 announced the X5 BMW Motorrad Edition on July 4, 2025, the latest result of its collaboration with BMW Motorrad, adding rider-specific hardware and software to the X5 flagship 360 camera.[1] The camera and its accessories carry BMW Motorrad markings, and the interface includes a BMW-themed UI plus a Stats dashboard that overlays live riding data such as speed and distance onto 360 footage.
The newly introduced BMW Motorrad Mini Remote mounts on a handlebar bracket and starts or stops recording with a tap. In InstaFrame Mode it also switches between fixed views, such as forward or selfie angles, and full 360 while riding. The kit adds a pre-installed 2800mAh Ultra Battery, which Insta360 says records up to 17% longer than the standard battery, along with a BMW-branded carry pouch featuring a more durable zipper and dedicated packaging.[1]
The camera keeps the X5's core specs: 8K 360 capture, the Invisible Selfie Stick effect and FlowState Stabilization, plus a waterproof body that needs no external case in rain. The edition is a limited global release priced from US$599.99 at launch.
