Insta360 announced Luna Pro on September 10, 2026, the newest gimbal camera in its Luna Series developed with Leica[1]. It went on sale the same day through the Insta360 Store, Amazon and select retailers worldwide, with the Standard Bundle starting at US$599.99 in Cosmic Black and Stellar White.
The camera combines a Leica Summicron lens with a 1-inch 8K sensor and a dual AI chip setup pairing a dedicated imaging chip with a 4nm flagship chip[1]. It records 8K Dolby Vision video, 4K120fps and 1080p240fps slow motion, and 4K30fps vertical video oversampled from 6K; rotating the touchscreen switches orientation. 10-bit I-Log, built-in timecode and ACES workflow support address color grading and multi-camera synchronization.
Three-axis stabilization works alongside AI-powered Deep Track and Rapid Focus to hold moving subjects. A detachable 2-inch OLED touchscreen allows framing from different angles, and slide-to-start recording plus twist-to-shoot controls shorten setup time. Insta360 rates battery life at up to 4 hours, built-in storage at 47GB, and the camera connects directly to the Insta360 Mic Series. NFC lets compatible phones link to the Insta360 app with a tap.
Documented accessories include a wide-angle lens, Black Mist filter, ND filter set, POV Head Tracker, Battery Handle, Neck Mount and Mini Fill Light[1]. Separately, Insta360 Global Awards 2026, supported by Leica, accepts entries from June 15 to October 31, with winners announced November 30.
